Environment description: Growing on a south-SW steep embankment just above the stream among rocks; in association with Deutzia sp., Philadelphus so., Vitex negundo var. heterophylla, Juglans mandshurica and Berberis sp.,
Comment: Multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub, 1.5 meters tall and 1 meter wide with upright stems; stems are brown with exfoliating bark; leaves are lanceolate 7.5cm long and 4cm wide, dull below and dark green above.
