Environment description: Growing in an open sunny site in heavy herbaceous undergrowth with Philadelphus sp., Spiraea sp., and Ampelopsis sp.
Comment: Single-stemmed upright, deciduous tree, 3 to 4 meters tall 6.4 cm DBH; stems are green with striking white striations; leaves simple, dark green with reddish petioles; 7.5cm long and 5cm wide; fruits borne in chain-like clusters.
