Narrative
Received as Franklinia alatamaha (dwarf). Seed collected from several dwarf plants at Dr. Ackerman's house with varying degrees of dwarfness. Original mother plant growing at Glenn Dale (PI 69037). Some seed irradiated with cobalt at Goddard in the 1970s. Some seedlings showed some dwarfing, and some of these were planted at Dr. Ackerman's home.
