Locality: Extreme northeast corner of Mongolia, approximately 30 km from the border with Inner Mongolia.
Coordinates: 47.9969, 118.1072 (Map it)
Elevation: 466m.
Environment description: Grass steppe. Research station established to test shrub and tree species adaptation to a steppe environment. Sprinkler irrigation has been used.
Comment: Site No: E94-32. Disturbed agricultural area. Prior to disturbance, vegetation was typical of grass steppe dominated by Stipa capillata and Leymus chinensis.
