Locality: Along a small river draining the southern end of the Hentii Mountains into the Herlen River, near the Ghengis Khan Monument, approximately 100 km east of the Tariat Research Station.

Environment description: Grass steppe (marshy). Immediate collection area is marshy ground along the river which has a surface dominated by crumholtz mounds. Typical marsh soils. Aspect is south-southeast with a slope of 1-2%.
Comment: Site No: E94-03. Dominant vegetation: Poa pratensis, Achnatherum splendens.
