Locality: 10 to 15 kilometers southeast of Langao along Lan He(River), Ankang District.
Coordinates: 32.2642, 108.9786 (Map it)
Elevation: 570m.
Environment description: Steep north-facing hillsides along road above the Lan He River in rocky well-drained soils.
Associated species: Vernicia fordii; Rhus potaninii; Rosa sp., and numerous herbaceous plants.
Comment: Multi-stemmed, semi-evergreen shrubs with arching stems and coarse branching; plants range from 1.5 to 3 m tall; leaves are long-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate and 10 to 20 cm long.
