Environment description: Grazed. Slope 11-40%, aspect E. 1/4 shade. Soil clay, heavy cracking vertisol, hydromorphic, pH 9.0. Rainfall 1200+ mm. Moist, ravine. Vegetation closed, seasonal tall grass. Surrounding veg. evergreen open forest with closed lower layers.
