Environment description: Grazed. Slope 0-5%, aspect N. Area open. Soil clay, vertisol, pH 6.5-7.0. Rainfall 650 mm. Seasonally dry, alluvial fan. Vegetation closed, seasonal tall grass. Surrounding veg. evergreen open forest with closed lower layers.
Number of plants sampled: 50
Associated species: Dominant tree species Quercus suber. Dom. shrub sp. Pistacia lentiscus. Dom. herb/grass sp. Festuca arundinacea. Assoc. sp. annual Medic, M. ciliaris, strawberry clover. Pure stand of tall fescue, 10 yrs. old. Local ecotype Grombalia.
