Narrative
Long-lived perennial bunch grass best adapted to conditions of eastern Washington, northern Idaho, and northeastern Oregon. Maturity early and early spring growth, and produces large yield of forage and seed. Rapid early growth is favorable to the growing of slender wheatgrass in association with sweetclover. Resistant to leaf stem, and stripe rusts and is superior to Mecca in resistance to head smut.
