Narrative
Decumbent cool season legume. Early bloom dates. Plant height 200-830mm. Disease and insect resistant. Used in conservation tillage systems as a cool season cover crop. By mid-February, 170 to 230kg ha-1 of dry matter. Flowers 23 to 26 days earlier than commercial hairy vetch. Crude protein content about 27% (dry matter basis) on or near April 1. Leaflets long. Stems pubescent at seedling stage. Adapted to Central and Southern part of Alabama and Georgia.
