Locality: 10km S of headquarters. Near Kaqu. Ecological reserve 75km SE of Xlinhot, Nei Monggol, China.
Elevation: 1249m.
Environment description: Abundant vegetation, no trees. 70% ground cover. Ungrazed.Rolling area on Mongolian Plateau. Sandy loam, few stones, good drainage, pH 6.3. Full sun, 5 deg. slope, 170 deg. aspect. Along unpaved road and next to mowed field. (PI 202)
