Locality: 10km S of headquarters. Ecological reserve 75km SE of Xlinhot, Nei Monggol, China.
Elevation: 1142m.
Environment description: At bottom of large hill. Rolling area on Mongolian Plateau. Sandy loam, some stones, good drainage, pH 6.7. Full sun, 10 deg. slope, 330 to 370 deg. aspect. Heavy grass. 70% ground cover. (PI 202)
