Narrative
Selected from comparative evaluation of material in constructed wetland including Typha latifolia, Scirpus validus, Zizaniopsis miliacea and Panicum hemitomon. Propagated by direct increase of vegetative material. A coarse robust and gregarious bulrush from tight sub- rhizomatous knots. Usually from 9 feet tall in plantings. Stems stout, obtusely 3-angled. Leaves few, basil. 50-150 spikelets. Anticipated use constructed wetland systems of southeastern U.S.
