Narrative
Selected for improved seedling emergence in the field, and mature plant vigor. Seedling emergence of the polycross progenies ranged from 82 - 144% of that of Monarch (17 seedlings/m of row) with a mean of 109%. Seed weight of the parental clones ranged from 3.46 - 5.00 g/1000 seeds with a mean of 4.07 g.
