Narrative
Fine texture, excellent color, low growth habit and an ability to stay greener later into the fall than most other warm-season buffalograss. Very drought tolerant. Resistant to most insect and disease pests. Requires less fertilizer (5-10g N/M2 growing season), less mowing, less water and less pesticides than both cool and warm-season turfgrasses currently in use. Single, female sel. produced vegetatively by sod, plugs or sprigs. Does not produce pollen or viable seed, genetically stable. Water use rate is less than other commonly cultivated turfgrass species.
