Narrative
Woody shrub, 2m tall. Corolla purple. Stamens yellow. Fruits 8-9cm long, mammiform with 5 or 6 basal, inward curving outgrowths 3-4cm long. Color orange. Flesh thick, spongy. Seeds numerous, round, flattened, purple brown. Fruit said to be poisonous if eaten, but used medicinally to cure mange and rashes by rubbing fruit on sores. More importantly, the mere presence of this plant is believed to cause household chickens to procreate.
