Narrative
Unique honey dew melon differing from all other honey dew varieties in its taste and flesh color. The taste is vanilla-like and like a cream soda soft drink, differing substantially from standard varieties currently on market. Flesh also differs from standard honey dews in that it is cream color with orange streaks throughout. Also unique in that it is so fleshy it can be eaten right down to the skin of the melon. Skin thickness approximately 1/8 inch. PVP abandoned. Fruit has general shape, size, external appearance and growing characteristics of standard honey dew varieties. It differs only in flesh color and taste. Fruit oval, 14 x 19 cm (d x l) at edible maturity, conspicuous blossom end scar; matures 95 days from seeding to harvest (15 days earlier than Honey Dew) an average weight slightly in excess of 1854 grams (4 pounds). Fruits do not absciss (slip).
