Narrative
Avg. hgt. 0.6m, blooms in 15th node. Produces single blunt pods/bloom. Dimpled seed, hyaline testa, green cotyledons, and black hilums. Resistant to Fusarium and Aphanomyces root rot, races 1,5, and 6, and segregating for race 2 of F. oxysporum. Outyielded susceptible, commercial cvs. incl. Dark Skin Perfection, in field plots severely infested with A. euteiches in Minn., Wis., and New Zealand. Using 0-5 disease rating scale, (0=healthy, 5=severely infected), Dark Skin Perfection consistently exhibited a disease severity rating of 4-5 at all test sites compared to 2 for this variety.
