Narrative
Plants large, vigorous, upright, dinse, variable in yield, young shoots stocky, dull brown mingled with gray, prickles strong, usually in threes, medium in thickness and length, with many bristles between the nodes especially towards the base of the shoots.
Flowers midseason, medium to large, 1-2 per strig.
Fruit early, clings well, large, roundish oval glossy yellowish with paler veins, skin hairy, thick, tender, translucent, flesh juicy, melting
sweet aromatic, quality very good.
This accession was infected with veinbanding virus. Virus-free heat-treated and tissue-cultured replacements for RIB 127.001. Received from Postman on 10/03/1988; Reference PI 555866 and inventory sample RIB 127.001.
