Introduced in 1950. Fruit large, cup count 50-60, deep red, late to mature Fruit: large; cup-count 50-60' shape oval-oblong; skin deep red; keeping quality fair to good; late-maturing. Vine: productive, but susceptible to false blossom in New Jersey. Named after Charles S. Beckwith, formerly of Cranberry and Blueberry Lab., New Jersey. - Brooks and Olmo Register of Fruit and Nut Varieties. 1997. ASHS Press. p. 232.
