Fruit collected from the wild and brought into town for selling at the market. Fruit is used for juce or fresh eating.
No seasonal temperature variation in its native locale. Survived 14 deg. F in Lacomb, Oregon, winter 1999 (Lisa Hunt, NCGR Greenhouse manager, 1989).
