Narrative
Collected before seed maturity peak. Plants 15 cm tall, 30 cm wide, stems red. Many plants are dying due to caterpillar defoliation. An unknown animal has eaten seeds leaving utricles behind. Ghost Crabs live in burrows under many plants. Storm winds and water have carried away windfall seeds. Sample size 85 plants, population size 300 plants.
