Environment description: Site edge of dry clay pan, no stoniness; soil pH 7- 9 (Alkaline 7.5 and above). One plant in 1 x 1 sq m area, one plant sampled, three fruit collected. Kalahari sand and some clay. Little disturbance. Natural method of propagation seed; 100% flowering, 100% with ripe seeds, population well separated from others. Few scattered individuals for abundance within plant community; patchy distribution; dominant plant species Enneapogon dexvauxii; Ptycholobium sp., Helotropium sp., and Odyssea paucinervis also present. No pests or disease observed.
