Environment description: Site plain, grassland, edge of claypan. Coarse sand and clay, no stoniness; soil pH 7.3 (neutral 6.5 - 7). Four plants in 100 x 100 sq m area, two plants sampled, all ripe fruits collected. Kalahari sand and some clay. Little disturbance. Natural method of propagation seed; 100% flowering, 50% with ripe seeds, population well separated from others. Few scattered individuals for abundance within plant community; patchy distribution; Hibiscus, Trigonella, and Tephorsia also present. No pests or disease observed. Fruits eaten by bushmen.
