Comment: Assoc. veg. Ficus Palmata, Punica Granatum, Rubus Fruticosus Seeds collected from 4 plants. Medium abundance. Fruits still hard mid-October, but appear mature.

Pyrus pashia - local Urdu name 'Batanji'. Seeds collected in the wild by M. Thompson and D. Brenner on 10 October, 1988 in Pakistan (Punjab Province, Rawalpindi District) near town of Ghora Gali, about 40 km NE of Islamabad. Trees growing beside Muree Road at 1532m elevation; Latitude 33 52' N, Longitude 73 20' E. Collectors note 'fruits still very hard but seeds appear mature.' - Collection notebook, 1988.
