Narrative
A population of P. calleryana seedlings was donated to the city of Corvallis, Oregon, by Mel Westwood during the 1970s. These trees were planted along streets and in parks around the city. This tree, growing in Avery Park, was observed several years later by Westwood to have an upright growth habit, similar to a Lombardy Poplar. -- J. Postman 2003
