Narrative
Coarse, upright, dense shrub, 10 feet at maturity. Leaves large, deeply veined. Flowers pink to white, bloom mid-June. Flowers borne in dense pyramidal panicles, three to seven inches long. Fruit is capsule containing two seeds. Growth rate slow to medium. Non-suckering habit. Used in field or farmstead windbreaks, and border or recreational area plantings. Good cover for wildlife. Adapted for hardiness in zones 2 to 7. Long-lived and fully winterhardy in North Dakota and surrounding states. No disease or insect problems
