Narrative
Enlarged tuberous rootstock. Plants up to 1/2 meter tall. Petals pale pink, without calluses. Inflorescence slight viscous. Abundant, but scattered. This species has an enlarged woody rootstock that allows the plant to persist during the dry season and the fires that sweep the campo. The stems will die back after it blooms, at this time cut back water for a period (2-3 months?).
