Locality: Deception Park, Central Kalahair Game Reserve
Environment description: Vine extending above ground about 1 m. Period of seed set December 1-30. Highly vigorous in its sheltered habitat (under Ziziphus muritiania tree/shrub). No obvious disease or pests. Three gourds taken. Only one individual spcimen loacted in area; associated species Acacia raddiana, Cavandula spp., with Zizziphus muritiania the dominant species. This species is probably confined to seasonal stream courses which, in the Tamgak Plateau, are separated by dry, boulder slopes. Local use of species forage, medicinal (by the Folonis), Local name is "Ifafung entacurum" in the tamacheq language.
