Environment description: Greater than 100 plants in 200 sq m area; two ripe fruit taken from each of10 plants (small fruits). Old Chirundu sugar estate. Valley bottom, bushland; open bush, at edge of dirt road; free drainage, coarse sand, no stoniness; soil pH neutral (6.5-7). Natural method of propagation seed; 100% has ripe seeds, population not well separated from others. Scarce, 1-5% cover, patchy abundance within the plant community. Eleusine dominant plant species; Acacia robusta and Acacia tortilis associated species. No pests or disease observed.
