Cultivar developed at Krasnokutsk Breeding Station through reccurent selection of hybrid population derived from open pollination between best breeding cultivars. State Commission released in 1972 for Volgagrad Region. Cultivar is drought resistant (List of Varieties, State Commission of Variety Testing, State Brochures 1956-1994, Moscow, Russia).
