Narrative
This accession was originally received as Pyrus communis and assigned local number CPYR 1636. Record reassigned as intergeneric hybrid on 09/19/1995. Fruit round ovated, ripens mid-August . The name 'Smokvarka' according to Zoran Jecnic, is either Serbian and Macedonian and refers to the appearance of the fruit which is like "a small fig".

May be identical to, and a synononym of PI 506381 (Shipova) and PI 318839 (Sorbopyrus 'Bulbiformis').
