Environment description: Intermediate elevation and bases of slopes.
Number of plants sampled: 5
Associated species: Morus, Celtis, Menispermum, Asimina triloba, Rosa multiflora, Celtis occidentalis, Juglans nigra, Quercus macrocarpa, Fraxinus americana, Celastrus orientalis, Smilax sp., Carya cordiformis, and Helenium.
Comment: Latitude, longitude, and elevation averaged between all specimens sampled. Coordinates for each mother tree may be provided upon request. Seed obtained in 1984 was harvested off the ground. Seed obtained in 2013 was harvested from individual mother trees.
