Snow cover for 2 days by 50cm or deeper. Tree deciduous, 15m tall,, upright, spreading habit. Branches spreading. Bark smooth, light gray. Leaves bright green above, somewhat paler beneath. Aril on seeds orange. Growing in mixed woodland. Seed from one tree.
