Narrative
Collected Sept. 1971 by J. Neaville and K. Sparks on the Sabine loamy soil at 5 ft elev. Released as a wildlife and range improvement plant for TX, OK, and Eastward. It is an upright vigorous legume that spreads from seeds, maintains green foliage until frost, good drought tolerance and regrowth abilities. Best adapted to areas receiving 15 in. or greater rainfall. Used for native range mixtures and wildlife.
