Environment description: Forested plateau. Rainfall 500 mm. Elevation 600 m.
Comment: Original seedlot collected from the wild in Russia by Howard Brooks (1967). Prostrate in moist areas; plant thorny, berries 3 to 12 druplets to 6 mm each, seeds large, purple, tart. Collection no. B-56.
