Narrative
Perennial tufted bunchgrass with upright growth habit. Foliage light green with mostly basal leaves. Average height .5-.75 m. Apomictic. Indeterminate flowering habit. Excellent persistence and spring vigor. More drought tolerance than Plains. Used for pasture, rangeland forage and soil stabilization.
