A strong growing perennial of trailing habit; flowers yellow; pod flat and black when ripe. Will endure extreme cold weather, but probably not as well as M. falcata or M. ruthenica. Found wild in timber clearings in central Siberia, Former Soviet Union. (Plant Inventory Vol. No. 167)
