Narrative
The Bam landrace, indigenous to that oasis area bearing the same name is excellent. It does not grow well, however, when out of its native elevation of 914 m. An excellent uniform alfalfa reported to be disease resistant. Yields 25-30 tons hay per year per hectare in 10-12 cuttings. Seeds freely. (Collector note)
