An early maturity type, maturing in 95 to 100 days. Plant height varies with moisture, nutrition, and plant density, but at 250,000 to 300,000 plants per acre they average 99 cm. Compared to other germplasms evaluated, better general resistance to powdery mildew, damping off, various lepidoptera, and leaf miners. Suceptable to sugarbeet root aphid. At physiological maturity, 94% of the plants turn red and gold, 3% are green and 3% are green with red panicles. Seed pericarp variable in color with 95% yellow pericarps and 5% assorted colors (red, white, and black). Seed homozygous recessive for translucent endosperm.
