Narrative
A leafy, persistent, turf-type tall fescue, producing attractive turf of medium density, medium texture, and a dark green color. Has improved tolerance to close-mowing, good heat tolerance, and performs well in full sun to moderate shade. Has good winter hardiness, good color retention into the cold weather of late fall and good spring greenup. Very resistent to Helminthosporium blight and moderately resistant to the brown patch disease caused by Rhizoctonia solani. Useful for production of a medium low maintenance turf.

Description:
The original source of most of the parental germplasm was plants collected from old turfs in New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, Idaho, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Alabama, while part came from trispecies hybrids of tall fescue (F. arundinacea Schreb.), meadow fescue (F. pratensis Huds.), and perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) obtained from the U.S. Regional Pasture Research Laboratory, University Park, PA.
