Narrative
Type = Plum. Per Evaluation of Introduced Plum Varieties (see citation): " A European variety similiar to the German prune, originated prior to 1881. Fruit size 3.8 cm in diameter, 4.5 cm long, obovate, purplish-blue-black, medium bloom; flesh yellow; sugar medium, acid medium; 23.2% soluble solids; fair to good quality; free stone, medium size; light yield; season last week of August; Skin color dark but bloom is very light in color giving odd appearance. Variety name suggests this is "Light Pubescence." Fruit has pleasant flesh texture and rather good quality."
