Narrative
Type = Plum. Per Evaluation of Introduced Plum Varieties (see citation): "Origin: An old variety noted in European literature the latter part of the Seventeenth century. Fruit Characteristics: Size - diameter 2.5 cm, length 2.4 cm; shape - roundish to round compressed opposite suture; skin - yellow, light bloom; flesh - yellow, soft; flavor - sugar high, acid medium; soluble solids - 24.2%; quality - good; stone - free; yield - medium; season - fourth week in July. Comments: Skin is bitter, fruit is very small, mostly rather dull greenish-yellow, some browning of flesh, flavor is very good."
