Type = Plumcot. Per Evaluation of Introduced Plum Varieties (see citation): "Fruit Characteristics: Size: diameter 3.3 cm, length 2.9 cm; Shape: roundish to round; Skin: reddish-maroon, light bloom; Flesh: red to maroon, very firm; Flavor: sugar high, acid medium; Soluble solids: 24%; Quality: fair; Stone: wholly cling, medium size. Yield: light; Season: first week of July. Comments: This fruit stands out mostly or its firmness, sweetness, and its deep maroon color. Because of its origin and the above characters, this fruit may be of interest for breeding."
