Narrative
pistachio 26 rootstock terebinthus. Unnamed seedling selection labelled P. khinjuk, but is definitely some form of P. atlantica in leaf and tree. Received as seed from Quetta, India. Very vigorous as was an identical tree at Chico location 025-27. Records at PI Station, Chico, California indicate these two trees were supposedly propagated and set on P. atlantica rootstocks. Whether or not the original buds failed, leaving only the roootstocks, is not known. If it is rootstock (unlikely) they are a different type and should be retained.
