Narrative
Used as a plant virus indicator. This seed stock originally came from the Scottish Horticultural Research Institute and is the selection of C. quinoa primarily used there. The stems have red stripes, the petioles and blades are green, the inflorescence is pink. As observed by David Brenner in a greenhouse in Ames, Iowa in 1996.
