Narrative
Pyrus sp. 'Kusuk'. Scions collected from cultivated tree by M. Thompson and D. Brenner on 12 November, 1988 in Pakistan (Northern Areas, Baltistan District) near town of Hashubi (Shigar Valley). Grown at the Department of Agriculture Nursery. Located in a river valley at 2370 m elevation; Latitude 35 32' N, Longitude 75 40' E. Collectors note 'Fruit is small to medium, yellow, with long stem; said to be very crisp. Matures in September.' - Collection notebook, 1988.
