Narrative
The seeds are black, flowers pinkish-green, leaves rufescent. It shatters and the seeds are somewhat indehiscent. RRC was unable to ID. Observations from the Rodale Research Center, 1988 Rodale Amaranth Germplasm Catlaog. Emmaus, PA. Collected from 10 plants during the dry season. The plants were 1m tall, with purple leaves and black seeds. The seed holding utricle abcises first, then splits on the equator.
