Narrative
The seeds are white, flowers green and pink, leaves green. The RRC class type is: Nepal. NODA #14. In the field the plants had nice large heads, were unlodged and basically uniform. Observations from the Rodale Research Center, 1988 Rodale Amaranth Germplasm Catalog. Emmaus, PA. Seed shipped with closing of Rodale Amaranthus program. Kauffman noted at the time of the 1986 selection that the plants were very short (.6 m), the flowers were green, and the seeds white. However the plants may be taller when grown elsewhere because of drainage problems in the field where he saw them in 1986.
