Locality: Gultu Farm, along the northern Tien Shan Mountains.
Coordinates: 44.5667, 83.9167 (Map it)
Elevation: 385m.
Environment description: Farm characterized as very dry with a high accumulation of salt due to excessive irrigation.
Comment: The dominant species was Achnatherum splendens which seemed to take over the entire area. There were some very large stands of Leymus secalinus growing in some very harsh conditions. Made some collections of Leymus multicaulis.
